Your dog's safety is the whole point.
Here's exactly what we do — and what we don't claim to do — to keep dogs, owners and walkers safe.
Human-reviewed walkers
Every walker application is checked by a member of our team: profile, experience, services and identity document. Profiles only become bookable after approval.
Identity verification
Walkers upload a government-issued photo ID, stored in private storage that is never publicly accessible. The "ID verified" badge appears only after we confirm it.
Background-check consent
Walkers consent to a background check as part of applying. The "Background checked" badge is shown only once a check has been completed.
Protected payments
Owners pay through FindDogWalker; walkers are credited only after a booking is completed. Declined or expired requests are refunded automatically.
Location privacy
Owner addresses are shared with a walker only for confirmed bookings. Walker locations appear on maps approximately — never as a street address.
Honest reviews
Only owners with a completed booking can review a walker, and walkers can reply publicly. We remove abusive or fake content.

Set every walk up for success
- Meet first. Message the walker and arrange a short meet-and-greet before the first booking.
- Keep it on the platform. Book and pay through FindDogWalker so your payment and booking are protected.
- Share the details. Add care notes, triggers, vet details and an emergency contact to your dog's profile.
- Check the gear. A well-fitted harness or collar with an ID tag, and a standard leash.
- Speak up. If anything feels off, contact us — we take every report seriously.
Report a concern
If you have a safety concern about a booking, a walker or an owner, contact us right away. In an emergency involving your dog, contact your vet or local emergency services first.
