Snow, rain or heat, I show up. Six years walking Lincoln Park and Old Town dogs, with paw care in winter and shady routes in summer.
I keep walks safe and fun: secure harness check before we leave, no unplanned dog greetings, and plenty of time to sniff. I log anything unusual (appetite, limping, upset tummy) so you always know how your dog's day went.
My own senior dog taught me patience: slow walks, plenty of sniffing and lots of gentle encouragement. I work part-time from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and lets me cover last-minute requests when I can.
